Melinda Copp

Melinda Copp, founder and executive editor of The Writer’s Sherpa, LLC, teaches aspiring self-help, business, and nonfiction authors how to write books that communicate their brilliance, attract clients, and share their experiences in a powerful way. Her clients have important messages to get out, and Melinda has a talent for seeing the big picture in their material. She loves helping aspiring authors discover the story they were meant to tell.

Melinda started her professional writing career as a ghostwriter’s ghost, writing articles and books for an editorial and publishing company that worked almost exclusively with professional speakers, coaches, and business consultants. While at this company, Melinda was not only introduced to the ghostwriting world, but she also ghosted and edited over 200 articles, books, and other marketing pieces on behalf of clients.

She left that position in 2005 to have her son and start her own business, and since then has worked as a freelance journalist for a variety of regional and national publications. In early 2006, Melinda founded The Writer’s Sherpa. She is passionate about the written word as an art form and a means of communication, and works to empower her clients with the confidence and skills to achieve their writing and publishing goals.

She has worked with coaches, consultants, speakers, lawyers, doctors, real estate agents, financial advisors, and aspiring authors from diverse backgrounds to create manuscripts and marketing materials that showcase their creativity and expertise. She publishes a free weekly e-zine for writers, The WRITE Path, that’s packed with helpful information and resources on how to write, publish, and market books. And she is the creator of the FINALLY Write Your Book Program.
